Laura is a phenomenal yoga teacher, and I am excited for all of you to experience the confidence and charisma she brings to the mat. As a continual student of life and yoga partitioner, I am beyond excited to unplug and unwind, gaining a closer connection to the wilderness of such a remote place. For the duration of this upcoming summer season, though, I have an opportunity to go deeper into nature and seclusion than ever before at Alagnak Lodge in Alaska. As a teacher, Laura’s intention is to create space for her students to tune in, connect with their breath, feel good in their bodies, and find some mental clarity.Ī NOTE FROM RAQUEL: I have spent the last few summers at Lavender Hill Farm doing what I love – leading yoga classes surrounded by fresh air. She encourages all of her students to tap into their inner sense of play and exploration so that they are able to make their practice truly their own. Her classes are designed with creative sequencing and a sense of playfulness. Her practice has allowed her to love her body, explore the depths of her mind and navigate her life with more authenticity. Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) is a relaxation process that leads to a state of deep meditation and healing. Its Restorative Yoga offering is a gentle and grounded practice that incorporates various props to provide support during long holds of gentle and rejuvenating postures. Classes are held monthly in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. Satya Yoga is less than a five-minute drive from the hotel and offers a variety of breath-centered yoga classes for everyone from beginners to advanced. Candlelight Yoga Unwind, relax, and chill out with this annual event series Practiced in the gentle glow of candlelight, this all-levels class will help you relax, melt away tension, and relieve stress. The Hotel Saugatuck, a historic luxury bed and breakfast in Michigan, has teamed up with Satya Yoga, a local yoga studio, to offer a special Candlelight Restorative and Yoga Nidra workshop on Janufrom 6 to 8 p.m. And what better way to to it than with a relaxing candlelight yoga session? The holidays can be a busy and stressful time, which is why it’s good every now and then to take a step back and treat yourself to some much-needed quiet time. ![]()
